Over 37 years ago, Jonathan Lapin was inspired by his early childhood love of working with his hands, creating, fixing and building things. Learning from those experiences he grew to understand that he possessed an undeniable passion to help others. Utilizing the things he learned and applying those skills in a manner that would allow him to demonstrate his great technical skills has allowed him to acquire a proven track record of helping others bring their own ideas to fruition. Born out of this inspiration and vision was the formation of Salisbury Construction Company.
Jon started in the construction business at the age of 13 rebuilding his Uncles kitchen after it sustained a heavy fire loss. Continuing in the business while still in school, he then became an apprentice carpenter, partnering with his Industrial Arts teacher at Doherty Memorial High School in a contracting business. When his partner was forced to move out of the area, Jon founded Salisbury Contraction Company at the age of 18.
Having personally engaged in all aspects of the construction industry from floor sweeper, framer, estimator, project manager and design build consultant, Jon has the knowledge and experience to bring even the most sophisticated projects from frame to finish while maintaining the highest level of quality workmanship in a timely manner.
Jon understands that every building project poses its own individual problems and issues requiring the General Contractor to know how to adapt to any and all situations that may arise in both the building and remodeling of any and all types of structures. Utilizing the learned skill of Critical Thinking helps Jon to avoid and resolve if necessary the most difficult of unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the project process, thus allowing him to bring projects to conclusion on time and on budget while maintaining the highest level of quality workmanship.
Jon and his crew were the lead contractors instrumental in orchestrating the renovation of the old Tatnuck Bookseller building in Tatnuck Square, a project that ultimately won the Silver Hammer award from the Worcester Chamber of Commerce. The award is given annually to construction or rehabilitation projects that have extraordinary visual and aesthetic impact on the physical landscape or projects that have brought new life to the region’s historic assets As a Master Builder, Jon has been extensively involved in the design build of numerous homes and commercial buildings throughout Central Massachusetts.
Under Jon’s stewardship, Salisbury Construction Company has grown to become a recognized leader in the Central Massachusetts remodeling and insurance loss repair business.
